MARS MAIL

Mars Mail is an educational arcade game produced for the Oyfo Techniekmuseum in Hengelo, The Netherlands. The main purpose of this game was to educate younger visitors of the museum about space debris and how to get rid of it.

The player controls a mail delivery space ship that need to deliver a present from a child to their father on Mars. On their way, the player needs to avoid obstacles and pick up debris. At space stations, they can exchange the debris for fuel to make it all the way to Mars.

In this two months project, I was the team leader of a group of seven. I was responsible for the narrative, the tutorial and level design and the implementation of the level and the UI. I made some storyboards for the animations and gameplay. Due to the short time frame, I was also responsible for the 2D- and the intro-animation.

You can play it here!

Down here you can view some examples of an tutorial design level designs.
